Persons or organizations desiring to use this material, must obtain the written consent of the contributor, or the legal representative of the submitter, and contact the listed USGenWeb archivist with proof of this consent. ************************************************************************ Contributed by Christie Canfield **************************************************************** This Indenture made this thirtieth day of December Anno Domini 1818 Between Elizabeth Wrenn of the one part, and Thomas Clark of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Elizabeth Wrenn for and in consideration of the love and esteem she hath for the said Thomas Clark, Hath given made over and released unto the said Thomas Clark all her right title and interest to and in the negroes willed to her, by her father Thomas Johnson with all the profits arising from their line to which she is entitled since the death of her mother Elizabeth Johnson. he the said Thomas Clark to have and to hold the said property to him and his heirs forever. As witness my hand and seal this day and year aforesaid. her Witness Elizabeth X Wrenn (seal) Thomas Parham mark Wm Shands Jr Littby Jennings On the 7th day of January 1819. This Indenture was proved to be the act and deed of Elizabeth Wren a party thereto by the Oaths of Thomas Parham and Littleberry Jennings two of the subscribing witnesses and continued for further proof. And on the 1st day of April 1819 was further proved by the Oath of William Shands junr the other Subscribing witness and recorded in the Clerks office of Sussex County Court. exd Teste J.C.
