Persons or organizations desiring to use this material, must obtain the written consent of the contributor, or the legal representative of the submitter, and contact the listed USGenWeb archivist with proof of this consent. ************************************************************************ Contributed by Christie Canfield **************************************************************** This Indenture made this third day of the 7th month in the year of one Thousand seven hundred & ninety nine between Richard Wrenn of Soampton County of the one part and Evans Wrenn of Sussex County of the other part Witnesseth that the said Richard Wrenn for and in consideration of the sum of thirty pounds to them in hand paid by the said Evans Wrenn, the Receipt whereof the said Richard Wrenn & Wife hath Granted and Acknowledged they the said Richard Wrenn & Wife hath Granted Bargained and sold Alien Enfeoff and by these presents doth grant bargain and Sell Alien Enfeoff and confirm unto the said E Wrenn one certain tract or parcel of Said Conty, one hundred acres be the same more or less situate lying and being in the County of Sussex on the North side of the deep branch and bounded as follows Beginning at a Hickory on Burwell Barrotts & Richard Wrenns line thence along sd Barretts line N 15o/? E 20 Pole to the head of a small branch thence down said branch to Jesse Holts line still bounded by a branch till Etheldred Davis's thence down said branch to Tompsons branch thence down said branch to a small branch which bear? into the old Mill Pond thence up sd branch to a Pine a markd tree thence S 86? E 45 P a pine thence N 77? E 38 P to the beg ing hickory Containing one hundred Acres and also all all trees Woods Underwoods Commons Common of Pastures Profits Commodities Advantages Emoluments Hereditaments whatsoever to the said tract or parcel of land above mentioned in any way Appertaining or ?? upon the same growing happening or ??sing and also the reversion & reversions remainder and remainders rents and environs of the said Premises and of every part and parcel thereof and also all the estate right title Interest Claim and demand whatsoever of they the said Richard Wrenn and Wife of in and to the said Premises and every part thereof To have and to hold all and Singular and the said premises above mentioned and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances unto the said Evans Wrenn his heirs and Assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the Evans Wrenn his heirs and Assigns forever and the said Richard Wrenn for Themselves and their heirs the sd tract of land and every part thereof against himself and his heirs and Assigns and Against all and every other Person and Persons whatsoever to the said Evans Wrenn his heirs and assigns shall and will Warrant and forever defend by these Presents In Witness whereof we have here unto set our hands and seals the day and year above Written Signed seald and deliverd in the Presence of us Richard Wrenn – (seal) Joseph Rosser BenB Rosser Joseph Sebrell At a Court held for Sussex County the 4th day of July 1799 This Indenture was proved to be the act and Deed of Richard Wrenn a party thereto by the Oaths of Joseph Rosser Benjamin B.
