Persons or organizations desiring to use this material, must obtain the written consent of the contributor, or the legal representative of the submitter, and contact the listed USGenWeb archivist with proof of this consent. ************************************************************************ Contributed by Christie Canfield **************************************************************** This Indenture made this 30th day of December in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred & thirteen, Between William Wren & wife Lydia of Sussex County of the one part & Eley Coker of sd County of the other part, Witnesseth that the said William Wren & wife for & in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars to him in hand paid or otherwise secured by the said Coker have granted bargained & sold alien'd enfeoffed & confirm unto the sd Coker one certain tract or parcel of land containing One hundred acres (be the same more or less) situate lying and being in the County of Sussex & bounded as follows Vizt: Beginning in Wrens line at a hickory & in Burrell Barrotts line thence along Barrotts line to Burts line in a branch thence down sd branch to Etheldred Davis line, thence along his line bounded by the branch to the Swamp joining James Stantons line thence along his line to a branch on the south side of said land & in William Wrens line formerly Richd Wrens decd thence along said William Wrens line to the first station & also all trees woods underwoods commons common of pastures profits commodities advantages Emoluments & hereditaments whatsoever to the said Coker & also all the estate right title interest claim & demand – To have and to hold all & singular the said premises above mentioned belonging or in any ways appurtaining or in or upon the same growing happening or arising & the said Wren & wife Lydia for themselves & their heirs the sd tract of land & every part thereof against themselves & their heirs & against all & every other person & persons whatsoever to the said Eley Coker his heirs & assigns shall & will warrant & forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof we the sd Wren & wife have hereunto set our hands & seals the day & year first above written Signed Sealed & acknowledged Wm Wren . . .
