Between William Wren & wife Lydia of Sussex County of the one part, & Herard Burt of sd County of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Wren for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred & forty dollars to him in hand paid or otherwise secured, hath granted bargained & sold one certain tract of land containing 43 Acres (be the same more or less) situate lying and being in the County of Sussex & bounded by the lines of Herard Burt Etheldred Davis William Wren & Burrel Barrotts, and also all trees woods underwoods commons common of pastures profits commodities advantages emoluments & hereditaments whatsoever to the said tract of land above mentioned belonging or any wise appurtaining or in or upon the same growing happening or arising & also the reversion & reversions remainder & remainders rents & Services of the sd premises & of every part & parcel thereof & also all the estate right title interest claim & demand whatsoever of they the said Wren & wife of in & to the said premises above mentioned to the only proper use & behoof of the said Herard Burt, his heirs & assigns forever & the sd Wren & wife for themselves & their heirs & against all & every other person & persons whatsoever to the said Herard Burt his heirs & assigns shall and will warrant & forever defend by these presents.-- In witness whereof, the said William Wren & wife Lydia have hereunto set their hands & affixed their seals the day & year above written. ---- Sign'd Seal'd & acknowledged In the presence of ………….
