A copy teste: T Richard Barley C S C I do with the advice of Council do hereby certify that Susannah Rowland widow of Burrell Rowland who was a private in the 15th Virginia Regimen and who died in the service of the United States is put on the pension list with an allowance of eight pounds yearly, to commence on the first day of January 1786. Given under my hand as Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, at Richmond, this 7th day of March 1789. Samuel Coleman Signed: Beverley Randolph August 29, 1827-Susannah died. Harry Mason, adm. of her estate received $39.95 for settlement of pension owed. Also found in the same folder: I do with the advice of Council hereby certify that Nathan Rowland of Pittsylvania about 30 years old, a private in the 15th Virginia Regiment and wounded in the action at the Battle of Guilford is put on the pension list with an allowance of six pounds yearly, commencing on the 1st day of January 1786.
