Buford's Detachment Sussex County Also See: Rawlings, Howell--Cook, _____ I do with the advice of Council hereby certify that William Wilborne, aged about 25 years late a private in the Detachment of the Virginia Line under the command of Col. Buford and whose pay was at the rate of 24 pounds per annum was disabled in the service of the United States by several wounds received at the battle of Warsaw, and that he is allowed the sum of 12 pounds yearly, commencing the first day of January 1786. Given under my hand as Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia at Richmond this 139h day of June 1788. T.
