I Joseph Hill of Sussex County Virginia after full and deliberate consideration and agreable to our bill of rights and fully persuaded that freedom is the natural right of all mankind and that no Law Human or Divine hath given me a just right or property in the persons of any of my fellow creatures and desirous to fulfill the injunction of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ by doing to all men as I would be done by and having one Slave named Harry twenty five years old I do hereby Emancipate and set free, likewise one woman named Charlotte ninteen years old I do hereby emancipate & set free them and their heirs forever. I have two boys in their minority, to wit Moses seventeen years old when he arrives to the years of twenty one he shall be free, likewise one boy named Elias one year old when he arrives to the age of twenty one years old he shall be free the four above named Negroe Slaves I do for my self my heirs Executors Adm'ors. relinquish my right interest, and claim or pretention of claim whatsoever as to there persons or any estate as to the two former and likewise the two latter shall there full freedom after they arrive to the years of twenty one as above stated. I Henry Porch of the County of Sussex being fully persuaded that Freedom is the natural Right of all men, agreeable to the Declaration of the bill of Rights upon which I conceive our Present happy Constitution is established and whereas I have under my care one certain Slave Viz. Phoebe which said slave and her future Increase I hereby Emancipate and set free and I do for myself my Heirs and assigns hereby relinquish all my Right Title Interest claim or pretention of claim whatsoever to her or any Estate they or either of them may hereafter acquire, and the said Slave Phoebe shall forever hereafter enjoy their full freedom without any Interruption from me or any other person claiming by or under any authority received of me. I William Wynne of Sussex County Virginia being fully persuaded that Freedom is the natural right of all mankind and that it is my indispensible duty to do unto all men as I would have them do unto me in the like Situation and having under my care three Negroes whom I have heretofore held as Slaves of the following names and ages Viz't. Betty Scott aged about thirty seven years,Judah Scott aged about twenty one years, Jemima Scott aged about nineteen years I hereby emancipate and set free all and every of the above named Slaves & I do for myself my heirs Executors and administrators relinquish all my right Title Interest and Claim or pretention of claim whatsoever either to their persons or any estate they may hereafter acquire and having also three more Negroes now in their minority of the following names & ages Viz't.
