Persons or organizations desiring to use this material, must obtain the written consent of the contributor, or the legal representative of the submitter, and contact the listed USGenWeb archivist with proof of this consent. ************************************************************************ Contributed by Christie Canfield **************************************************************** Know all men by these presents that I David Wrenn of the County of Davidson and State of Tennessee for divers good causes and considerations me hereunto moving have ordained authorised and appointed, and by these presents do make ordain authorise and appoint Benjamin Wrenn of the County of Southampton & State of Virginia my true and lawful attorney for me and in my name, to ask demand Sue for and Recover and receive of and from William Peters Executor of the last Will and Testament of William Loftin decd late of Sussex County and State of Virginia all such sum or Sums of money part or portion of said estate which said William Loftin deceased by his last will and testament left or bequeathed to me by the said Will of the said Loftin decd Hereby vesting my said attorney Benjamin Wrenn with full power and authority upon receiving what may be due me from said estate or any part thereof to give a Receipt or Receipts amanner as I could do was I personally present – Ratifying and confirming all and every thing my said attorney may Lawfully do in the premises. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Fourteenth day of July Eighteen hundred & Seventeen David Wren (seal) State of Tennessee } Davidson County } Be it remembered that on the day of the date hereof personally came and appeared before me Washington Perkins notary Public for west Tennessee duly Commissioned and sworn according to Law --- residing in the Town of Nashville in said state David Wrenn and acknowledged the within or preceding power of attorney to be his voluntary act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned In Testimony whereof I have hereunto sat my hand and affixed my notarist Seal at Nashville ( Seal ) aforesaid This Fourteenth day of July Eighteen hundred and Seventeen - Washington Perkins Notary Public west Tennessee On the 6th day of November 1817.
