ROSSIE ELEY ANDREWS 

  Rossie Eley Andrews, 84, a resident of Wakefield, died Sunday, March 9, 
1980.  He is a member of Rocky Hock Methodist Church and was a retired 
farmer.  He is survived by his wife, Bernice Knight Andrews of Wakefield; 
a daughter, Mrs. Elspeth A. Scarborough; two granddaughters, Susan Lynn 
Scarborough and Holly Ann Scarborough, all of Surry.  Funeral service will 
be held Tuesday, March 11 at 2 p.m. in the Purviance Funeral Chapel in 
Wakefield.  Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery.  The family suggests 
memorials to the Ivor or Waverly Rescue Squads.

  WAKEFIELD - Rossie Eley Andrews, 84, of Route 2, died Sunday in Goodrich 
Convalescent Center, Surry County.

  Born in Surry County, Mr. Andrews was a retired farmer and former employee 
of Andrews Feed Store.  He was a member of Rocky Hock United Methodist Church.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bernice Knight Andrews; a daughter, Mrs. 
Elspeth A. Scarborough of Surry, and two grandchildren.

  A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Purviance Funeral Home, 
Wakefield, by the Rev. James M. Tongue.

  Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery.

  The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions 
to either the Ivor or Waverly Rescue Squad.
