SADIE HOLMES ANDERSON 

  Mrs. Sadie Holmes Anderson, 86, a resident of Wakefield, died Friday.  She 
was a native of Southampton County, the widow of Charlie A. Anderson, Sr. and 
a member of the Wakefield United Methodist Church.  She is survived by a 
daughter, Mrs. John S. Carson of Wakefield; a sister, Mrs. R.M. Cobb, Sr. of 
Wakefield; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.  She was the mother 
of the late C.A. Anderson, Jr.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 7, 
2 p.m. in the Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield.  Burial will be in the 
Wakefield Cemetery.
