DORIS ANN RAWLINGS BEALE 

  Doris Ann Rawlings Beale passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017.  Born 
October 23, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Clarence Rawlings, 
Sr. and Doris Gilliam Rawlings.  She was a member of Waverly Congregational 
Christian Church and was an avid sports fan, especially baseball and football. 
Mrs. Beale was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was gifted with a 
sharp mind that she utilized working on the family farm, Owens Grove Farm, 
keeping the books while raising her family.  Along with her parents, she is 
preceded in death by a son, Blair Gilliam Beale and her brothers, Charlie C. 
Rawlings, Jr., Kenneth Lee Rawlings, and Wallace "Wally" Rawlings.

  Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years, Jack Beale; her son, 
Craig Rawlings Beale and his wife, Kay; her daughter, Paige Beale Baldwin and 
her husband, Joe; grandchildren, Madison Beale Presson, Allie Mitchell 
Presson, Tyler Blair Beale, Kendall Brooke Beale, Ashley Elizabeth Beale and 
Amanda Rawlings Beale as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 
Wakefield Cemetery.  The family will receive friends immediately following the 
service in the fellowship hall of Wakefield United Methodist Church.  In lieu 
of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Waverly 
Congregational Christian Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 636 Waverly, VA 23890, 
Waverly Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 583 Waverly, VA 23890, or Wakefield 
United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 87 Wakefield, VA 23888.  The family is being 
served by R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel where condolences
