Mrs. Beale was a member of Wakefield United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Bonapart MacCuely* Arnold; mother, Edith May Atkinson Cheatham and husband, Nicholas Conway Cheatham and husband of 56 years, Albert W. "Pete" Beale. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Wayne Beale (Sarah) of Smithfield, and David Beale (Kathy) of Prince George; daughter, Janet James (Sidney) of Richmond; grandchildren, Jennifer Beale Britt (Charlie), Liza James Hall (Garnett), Mary Buford James Guthridge (Morgan), Ryan Beale, Blair Beale Cole (Brandon), Will Beale (Amber), Hunter Beale and Taylor Beale; eight great- grandsons, and a brother-in-law, James Beale (Doris Ann). A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Wakefield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wakefield UMC P.O. Box 87 Wakefield, Va. 23888 or Isle of Wight Community Fund for the benefit of the Wayne Beale ALS Fund, P.O. Box 38 Smithfield, Va. 23431. The family is being served by R.W. Baker & Co. Claremont, b. 26 Oct 1905 in Chesterfield Co., d. 20 Jan 1929, 19-20 hrs. after breaking his neck in an auto accident; buried Chesterfield Co. His father Frank Cunningham ARNOLD (1868-1949) was buried in St. Anne Cemetery, Claremont. His mother Cordelia Maude (WHITESIDE) ARNOLD (1877-1972) was buried in a Seventh-Day Adventist cemetery, in Sussex Co. Her mother's maiden name appear as McCULLY.
