Mrs. Bain was the widow of Frank B. Bain, of Wakefield. She was a member of Wakefield Methodist Church. Surviving her are one brother Dr. T.F. Jarratt of Jarratt; four sisters, Miss Blanch Jarratt, Miss Julia Jarratt, Mrs. G.P. Applewhite and Miss Susie Jarratt, all of Jarratt, and six nieces. Funeral rites will be held at the home at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** MARY ANN JARRATT BAIN Mrs. Mary Ann Bain, aged 73 years, a prominent resident of Wakefield, died at her home in that town Saturday morning, June 7, after having been sick for several months. She was the widow of the late Frank B. Bain of Wakefield and daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Julia Ann (Nicholson) Jarratt. She was a consistent member of the Wakefield Methodist Church, in which she served faithfully until her health prevented. Surviving her are one brother, Dr. T.F. Jarratt and four sisters, Mrs. G.P. Applewhite, and Misses Blanche, Julia, and Susie Jarratt, all of Jarratt, Va.; six nieces, Miss Julia Ann Applewhite, Miss Mary Ann Jarratt and Mrs. Lawrence Barnes of Jarratt, Mrs. James England, Jr., of Waverly, and Mrs. J.L. Francis and Miss Ann Drew of Wakefield; and one nephew, Langhorn Drew Francis, of Wakefield. Funeral services were held at the home of Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock and interment was in the Wakefield cemetery. Pallbearers were J.N. Barker, R.E. Carroll, C.E. Holladay, F.M. Ellis, J.E.
