  WAKEFIELD - Robert Franklin Bain, Jr., 56, died Friday in a Richmond 
hospital.

  He was a native of Sussex County and a member of Wakefield United Methodist 
Church.

  Survivors include a brother, Jack P. Bain of Wakefield.

  A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Wakefield Cemetery 
by the Rev. L.P. Bland.

  The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions 
to the Wakefield United Methodist Church, or the Virginia Diabetes Association.

  Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, is in charge.
