Bain Funeral Today WAKEFIELD - Funeral services for Walter Tucker Bain will be conducted today at 4:30 p.m. at the Purviance Funeral Home, by the Rev. L.P.N. Bland, pastor of the Wakefield Methodist Church. Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery. Mr. Bain, 80, prominent Sussex County farmer, died in his home near Wakefield Friday morning after an illness two days. A native of Southampton County, he was a son of John Walter and Mrs. Mattie Bristow Bain. He was a farmer in Wakefield community for 60 years. He was a charter member and past president of Wakefield Ruritan Club and past chairman of Sussex County Democratic Committee. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary V. Bain; a son, Fairfield S. Bain of Wakefield; two sisters, Mrs. W.C. Bryant of Ivor and Mrs. Armistead Whitley of Lexington; and three grandchildren.
