All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ FRANCES PAULINE MUNFORD BENTON Mrs. Frances Munford Benton, 73, a resident of Carolina Road in Suffolk, died on Jan. 6, 1995, at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital in Suffolk. Mrs. Benton was a native of Surry County and the daughter of the late John Irvin and Ettie Grant Munford. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, Suffolk, and a member of the Women’s Fellowship at the church. She retired from Union Camp. She is survived by two sons, John Earl Benton and Jimmy Lee Benton, both of Suffolk, two sisters, Evelyn M. Martin, of Virginia Beach, and Cora M. Luter, of Ivor; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, on Monday, Jan. 9, 1995 at 2 p.m. by Rev. Alan Fellumlee and Rev. Larry Burkhart. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Suffolk Rescue Squad or the United Lung Association. ****************************************************************************** FRANCES PAULINE MUNFORD BENTON SUFFOLK - Mrs. Frances Munford Benton, 73, died Jan. 6, 1995 at Louise Obici Hospital.
