MARY ELIZABETH TRUEHEART BURGESS 

  WAKEFIELD, Nov. 3 - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Trueheart Burgess, 70, died Thursday 
at her home here.  A native of Surry County, she was a member of the 
Arlington, Va., Community Methodist Church.  Surviving are her husband, Emmett 
J. Burgess; two daughters, Mrs. Pearl B. Laine, of Wakefield, and Mrs. 
Katherine B. Scarborough, of Arlington; four sons, J. Paul Burgess, of Falls 
Church; Roy E. Burgess, of Richmond, and Emmett T. and William R. Burgess, of 
Arlington; one brother, H.E. Trueheart, of Petersburg; one sister, Mrs. H.O. 
Burgess, of Dendron, and 11 grandchildren.  A funeral service will be held at 
2 p.m. Sunday at Purviance Funeral Home, with burial in Wakefield Cemetery.
