LOIS ERENE FISHER BURKETT 

  Lois Erene Fisher Burkett, 83, a resident of Franklin, Va., died Saturday, 
June 22, 2002, at her home.  Born July 26, 1918, in Clairton, Pa., she was the 
daughter of the late Harvey Sylvester Fisher and Alice Taylor Fisher.  She was 
a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Lois was the 
wife of the late Bruce Burwin Burkett, and a member of Black Creek Baptist 
Church.

  She is survived by five daughters, Linda B. Porter, Judi B. Bryan, Ginny B. 
Bellamy, Ali B. Servideo, and Teresa B. Eaheart; a sister, Willa Shivley; 
fourteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

  Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, at Purviance 
Funeral Home, Wakefield, Va. with the Rev. Wayne Underwood and the Rev. David 
S. Dillon officiating.  Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery.  The family well 
receive friends at 2 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.

  Memorial donations may be made to the mission program of your church, or 
American Cancer Society.
