Barker, Sr., died at two o’clock Thursday morning, August 26, in a Richmond hospital. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charlie H. Rowe of Courtland and Miss Elizabeth Barker of Wakefield and Petersburg; three sons, J.N. Barker of Wakefield, S.T. Barker, Jr. of Deep Creek, and F.D. Barker of Chester, Penn.; eight grandchildren; one brother, J.H. Drewry of Clifton Forge; three sisters, Mrs. George W. Wesson of Lawrenceville, Mrs. R.H. Rooks of Norfolk, and Mrs. A.W. Parker of Yale; also a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at one o’clock this (Friday) afternoon at the grave in the Wakefield cemetery.
