LILLIE BARRETT WAKEFIELD - Mrs. Lillie Rollings Barrett, 73, died Sunday morning in an Alexandria hospital after a short illness. She was a native of Southampton County, and a lifelong resident of the Wakefield community. She was the widow of Philip H. Barrett, and a member of Barrett's Christian Church. Her late parents were Samuel J. and Mrs. Cora Baker Rollings. Surviving are four sons, P. Bernard Barrett of Sedley; M. Gordon Barrett and J. Stewart Barrett, both of Alexandria, and Philip H. Barrett, Jr., of Winston-Salem, N.C.; six daughters, Mrs. J. Burt Collier of Patuxent River, Md., Miss Catherine Barrett and Mrs. Thomas S. Jackson, both of Alexandria; Mrs. William R. Hamlin, of New London, Conn.; Mrs. E. Rawlings Owen of Jarratt, and Mrs. J. Kempter West of Smithfield; three brothers, J. Spratley Rollings and Dudley N. Rollings, both of Suffolk, and Herman Rollings of Courtland; five sisters, Mrs. Hunter Hanes of Suffolk; Mrs. L.C. Scott of Staunton; Mrs. G.E. Walton of Greensboro, N.C.; Mrs. M.F. Richards of Fredericksburg; and Mrs. T.A. Redmon of Elkin, N.C., 21 grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at the Purviance Funeral Chapel Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. R.E. Brittle, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church., Suffolk, and the Rev. Fred Wright, pastor of Wakefield Christian Church. Burial was in the Wakefield Cemetery. Pallbearers were J.N. Barker, Gilbert Rollings, Stephen Owen, Donald Barrett, T.S.
