Born June 18, 1945 in Southampton County, he was a son of the late Percy Lee Britt and Betty Jane Saunders Britt. Mack was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed by all who knew him. He worked at R.M. Felts Packing Company for 46 years and enjoyed playing and singing music. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Red Britt, Boney Britt, Clifton Britt, Tiney Holt and Helen Fowler. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 48 years, Alice Faye Britt; son, Percy Mack Britt, Jr. (Lisa); daughter, Lesley Barfield (Matt); grandchildren, Alex, Dylan, Zack, Dixie and Evan; a good friends, Robert Swinson; brother, Thomas Britt (Pat) and John Britt (Dot); sister, Dollie Stanfield (Tom) and his dog, Snuggles. The family will receive friends Friday, May 19, 2017 at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel from 6 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Wakefield Cemetery.
