CHARLIE LEE BRADSHAW 

   WAVERLY - A funeral service for Charlie Lee Bradshaw was conducted Friday 
at 2 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, by the Rev. John L. Blackwell. 
Burial was in Waverly Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were S.B. Sheffield, P.D. Carlisle, Clifton Brett, A.L. McCoy, 
L.E. Pope, Al Bradley, J.W. Neblett and Willard Lewis.

   Bradshaw, 77, died Tuesday in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk, after 
a short illness.

   A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Mattie 
Bulls Bradshaw and a son of Stephen and Mrs. Molly S. Bradshaw.

   He was a retired section foreman of Norfolk & Western Railway and a member 
of Waverly Baptist Church.

   Surviving are three sons, John S. Bradshaw of Roanoke and Curtis E. Bradshaw 
and William C. Bradshaw of Waverly; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys B. Gray of 
Petersburg; a brother, Clinton O. Bradshaw of Suffolk; three sisters, Mrs. 
Johnnie Jones of Driver, Mrs. Lucille Miller of Plymouth, N.C., and Mrs. Robert 
Grissom of Suffolk; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
