Born on October 29, 1952, she was the daughter of John Thomas Joyner and the late Hilda Jones Joyner. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Gray Lumber Company for many years. She was a member of the Wakefield United Methodist Church and a 1971 graduate of Tidewater Academy. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Donald Eugene Brittle, and two sons, Graham Laine Brittle and Bryan Lear Brittle all of Wakefield; her father, John Thomas Joyner of Windsor; one sister, Brenda Joyner and husband, Rick Bodson of Smithfield; two brothers, Larry Joyner and wife, Rita of Hopewell, and Len Joyner and wife, JoAnn of Zuni; a nephew, Wesley Joyner; and a niece, Hillarie Joyner Garner. She was predeceased by her mother, Hilda Jones Joyner and a niece, Amber Joyner. A graveside funeral service will be held in the Wakefield Cemetery on Monday, July 4, 2005 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. G.C. Branton officiating. The family will be at the residence to receive friends. Memorial donations may be sent to the Wakefield Methodist Church, P.O.
