For 56 years she was the wife of Wallace Freeman Brittle, who passed away in 2000. She is survived by her daughter Becky B. Ringler and husband, Terry, of Smithfield; her son, Wayne "Smokey" Brittle and wife Sherri, of Wakefield; two grandsons, Wallace Wayne Brittle, Jr. and wife, Leslie, and Christopher B. Ringler; one granddaughter, Sarah Lynn Ringler; one sister; two brothers, several nieces and nephews. One brother preceded her in death. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, at Purviance Funeral Home Chapel, Wakefield, with the Rev. James Kerr and the Rev. Ray Rowland officiating. Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wakefield Volunteer Rescue Squad or the Ivor Volunteer Rescue Squad.
