LUCY PADGETT BRITTLE 

  WAKEFIELD - Lucy Padgett Brittle, 91, of Main Street, died March 22, 1989, 
in a Waverly health care center.

  Mrs. Brittle, a native of Waverly, was a member of Rocky Hock United 
Methodist Church, Wakefield.  She was the widow of John Burgess Brittle.

  Survivors include two daughters, Pauline B. Newton and Edith B. Felts, both 
of Wakefield; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-
grandchild.

  The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Purviance Funeral Home 
by the Rev. Russell Leanord and the Rev. Jess V. Staton.  Burial will be in 
Waverly Cemetery.  Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday in 
the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made to Ivor Rescue Squad or to 
the church.

   as BAINES.
