LAURA LUCY A. PRESSON BRITTLE 

MRS. EMMETT W. BRITTLE DIES IN WAKEFIELD 

  Mrs. Lucy A. Brittle, 71, wife of Emmett W. Brittle, died at her home in 
Wakefield Wednesday afternoon after a brief illness.  Funeral services will 
be held Friday afternoon at 3:00 o’clock from the residence, with burial in 
Wakefield Cemetery. Dr. A.W.H. Jones, pastor of Wakefield Baptist Church, of 
which the decreased had been a member for over 30 years, will conduct the 
rites.

  Mrs. Brittle was born in Sussex County, a daughter of William Presson and 
Mrs. Emma Presson.  She had spent all her life in her native county.

  Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. C.H. Taylor; a 
grandson, Charles H. Traylor, and three nephews, Oscar L. Brittle of Newport 
News, Hurley Brittle of Waverly, and John Watkins Presson of Baltimore.
