FREEMAN BRITTLE WAKEFIELD - Mrs. Minnie Freeman Brittle, 69, died Tuesday at 9 a.m. at her home near here after an illness of three weeks. She was the widow of Claude Edgar Brittle. A native of Southampton county, she was a daughter of Felix Henry and Mrs. Rosa Andrews Freeman. She was a member of Wakefield Christian church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Byron C. Bowden, Jr., of Courtland; two sons, Sidney A. Brittle and Wallace F. Brittle, both of Wakefield; three sisters, Mrs. W.J. Laine of Dendron, Mrs. F.E. Branch and Mrs. Viola Presson, all of Wakefield; three grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A funeral service was conducted at Purviance Funeral Chapel here Thursday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. T. Fred Wright, pastor of Wakefield Christian Church, and the Rev. J.E. McCauley, pastor of Waverly Christian Church. Minnie Blanche (FREEMAN; Mrs. Claude E.)
