BRITTLE WAKEFIELD - R. Marshall Brittle, 63, died Monday at home. A member of Wakefield United Methodist Church, he was also a member of Wakefield Masonic Lodge 198 and was a member and past president of the Wakefield Sportsman’s Club. He was a farmer and auctioneer before retirement. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Leclare Griffin Brittle; a daughter, Mrs. Sue B. Ridout of Annapolis, Md.; two sons, M. Kenneth Brittle of Richmond and R. Coleman Brittle of Waverly; four sisters, Mrs. Doris Murphy of Wakefield, Mrs. Mae Hughes of Richmond and Mrs. Myrtle Rodges and Mrs. Clarice Kotz, both of Suffolk; two brothers, J. Samuel Brittle of Wakefield and Joseph C. Brittle of Hampton; and four grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Wakefield Cemetery by the Rev. J.A. Tongue and the Rev. R.E. Brittle. The family request expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the favorite charity. Marshall Brittle, 63, was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Wakefield Cemetery by the Rev. James A. Tongue and Dr. R.E. Brittle. Purviance Funeral Home was in charge. Brittle died Monday in his home. A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Leclare Griffin Brittle. He was a member of Wakefield United Methodist Church and Wakefield Masonic Lodge No. 198 and a past president of Wakefield Sportsmen's Club. He was a retired farmer and auctioneer. Other survivors include a daughter, Sue B. Rideout of Annapolis, Md.; two sons, M. Kenneth Brittle of Richmond and R. Coleman Brittle of Waverly; two brothers, J.
