WAKEFIELD - James Randolph "Randy" Brittle Sr., 63, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2009. A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Thomaston Road Church of Christ, Macon, GA, with Rob Robinson officiating. Mr. Brittle was born in Suffolk, Va., to the late John Samuel and Mary Leigh Brittle. He was retired from J.C. Penny’s with 23 years of service, and was employed with Five Star Dodge. Mr. Brittle was a member of Thomason Road Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Betty Hancock Brittle of Macon; son and daughter-in-law, James R. Jr. and Kim Brittle of Birmingham, Ala.; daughter, Allison Margaret Brittle of Nashville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Brittany Carole Brittle, Thomas Paxton Brittle, John (Jack) Randolph Brittle, and James Holland Brittle; and a brother, Horace Lee Brittle and his wife, Jean of Waverly, Va. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at Purviance Chapel, J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, in Wakefield. Burial will follow in the Wakefield Cemetery at 4 p.m. Donations may be made to Middle Georgia Christian School, 5859 Thomaston Road, Macon, GA 31220.
