She is survived by two sisters, Miss Josie Burton, of Wakefield, and Mrs. Richard A. Plummer, of Petersburg. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Wakefield Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** JANET OTIS BURTON FUNERAL RITES HELD TUESDAY FOR MISS BURTON A graveside funeral service for Miss Janet Otis Burton, 63, of Wakefield, who died Sunday in the Petersburg Hospital, was held Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the Wakefield Cemetery. Rev. J.L. Blankenship, Jr., pastor of the Wakefield Methodist Church, conducted the services, assisted by Dr. John E. White and the Rev. Phillip Ray Hart of Richmond. Miss Burton, a life-long resident of Wakefield was the daughter of the late Charles Alva Burton and Lucy Churchill Strachan Burton of Wakefield. She was a member of the Wakefield Methodist Church and had been associated with the Burton & Marshall Store in Wakefield for over twenty-five years. She is survived by two sisters, Miss Josie Burton of Wakefield and Mrs. Richard A. Plummer of Petersburg. Active pallbearers were W.A. Stephenson, Jr., Rossie E. Carroll, R.M. Cobb, Paul W. Roges, J. Robert Hatch, John E. Williams, J.H. Eure and Garland H. Burton of Dendron.
