WAKEFIELD - David Vance Branch, 66, died Saturday at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Sussex County and a retired merchant. He was a member of Wakefield United Methodist Church and the Wakefield Sportsman's Club. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mildred Lewis Branch; a daughter, Mrs. Harry O. Snead, Jr. of Glen Allen; three sisters, Mrs. B.E. Cowling Sr., Mrs. Bernice Rogers and Mrs. Annie C. Little, all of Wakefield, and two grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Purviance Funeral Home by the Rev. J.E. Griffin and the Rev. L.P. Bland. Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Ivor of Waverly Rescue Squad.
