Cobb, Jr. 90, of Wakefield, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012. Reuben was preceded in death by his parents: R.M. Cobb Sr. and Amie H. Cobb, wife: Ann S. Cobb, and a brother, James W. Cobb. He was the former owner operator of Cobb's Automotive, a member of Wakefield United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge # 198 since 1954, veteran of WWII serving in the Army Air Corps, "The Fire House Five," a local Dixie Land Band. He is survived by a sister: Amie C. Harvell and sister-in-law: Frances T. Cobb, four step-children, 12 step-grandchildren and 12 step-great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in Wakefield Cemetery at 3:00 p.m., with interment following. Contributions may be made to the Wakefield Fire Department or the Waverly Rescue Squad.
