COFER WAKEFIELD - Mrs. Myrtle Lee Holt Cofer, 26, died Wednesday in a Richmond hospital after an illness of seven months. A life-long resident of Sussex County, she was a daughter of O.L. and Myrtle Betts Holt. She was a member of Dendron Methodist Church. Mrs. Cofer was a charter member and first president of the Wakefield Junior Woman’s Club. In addition to her parents, survivors are her husband, Kenneth D. [sic; B.*] Cofer; a daughter, Miss Deborah Cofer; a son, Thomas Cofer, all of Wakefield; and two sisters, Mrs. E.C. Vaughan of Richmond and Mrs. Edward Dunbar of Roanoke. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Purviance Funeral Chapel in Wakefield. Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery.
