All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ JOHN FRANKLIN CASEY John Franklin "Frank" Casey, 75, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Virginia. Born October 4, 1931 in El Paso, TX, he was the son of the late Wiley Sanders Casey and Bessie Lena Wilson Casey. After serving four years in the U.S. Air Force, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant, he attended Texas Western College, now University of Texas at El Paso, earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in physics. He was employed with the El Paso Natural Gas Co., Globe Universal Sciences, Inc., and retired in 2004 from MSD Autotronic Ignition Corp. after 30 years of service. Frank will be remembered for his kindness, his patience, his thoughtfulness, and his generosity. He will be greatly missed by his children, David Robert Casey and wife, Lacey, of Grapevine, TX, and Laura Michele Brooks and husband, Jerry, of Wakefield, Va.; grandchildren, Kasey Michele Goff and Beau Michael Brooks, of Wakefield, and Dakota Robert Brooks of Tamps, FL; brother, Edwin Sanders Casey of Albuquerque, NM; and numerous cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Purviance Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Wakefield, with the Rev. Steve Gupton officiating. Interment with military rites will follow in Wakefield Cemetery, Wakefield, Va. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the University of Texas at El Paso Physics Dept. at: UTEP Physics Dept. Program Fund, 500 West University Avenue, El Paso, TX 79968-0515.
