She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church of High Point. She taught in the Virginia public school system from 1920 to 1932 and had been an employee of NASA, Langley Field. Survivors include a stepson, Paul Cox of New Bern, N.C.; and a sister, Mrs. Lucy McKerrow, of Chapel Hill, N.C. A funeral was conducted Tuesday in Purviance Funeral Home Chapel, Wakefield, by the Rev. Philip Ray Hart. Burial was in Wakefield Cemetery. The family request that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Dendron Congregational Christian Church. Helen Marie (HOBSON CLARKE; Mrs. Cortez M.)
