All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ IRENE NEPRASH COTTER WAKEFIELD - Irene Neprash Cotter of Wakefield passed away on Jan. 11, at Tandem Health Care of Windsor following a long illness. Mrs. Cotter was born on June 24, 1918, to Ivan V. and Margaret Isaak Neprash, who fled Russia because of Christian persecution. She graduated from Pierce College in Philadelphia and then entered Columbia International University graduating with a B.A. in Teaching and Biblical Education in 1942. Married to Douglas M. Cotter upon graduation, she worked at Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and supported her husband’s ministry at Columbus Quarter Baptist Church in New York, North Wales Baptist Church in Pennsylvania, Wakefield Baptist Church in Virginia, Manoa Baptist Church of Pennsylvania, Pedricktown Baptist Church in New Jersey and Crystal Hill Baptist in Virginia. She and her husband retired in Wakefield where Mrs. Cotter was employed at the Southeast 4-H Education Center until she was 80. She is survived by Douglas, her husband of over 60 years, two sons, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and her brother. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Columbia Bible College, c/o P.O. Box 567, Wakefield Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, at Wakefield Baptist Church. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, is in charge of the arrangement. Irene (NEPRASH; Mrs. Douglas M.)
