ARALEASE MUNFORD COWLING 

MRS. ARALEASE M. COWLING 

  WAKEFIELD - Mrs. Aralease Munford Cowling, 80, died Saturday at John 
Randolph Nursing Home in Hopewell.

  She was born in Sussex County and was a member of Wakefield Baptist Church 
and its Women’s Missionary Union.

  Survivors include her husband, Harvey J. Cowling; three daughters, Mrs. 
James B. Adkins and Mrs. Keith G. Richardson, both of Wakefield, and Ms. Ann 
C. Hawkins of Piedmont, S.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn M. Martin of Virginia 
Beach, Mrs. Cora M. Luter of Ivor and Mrs. Frances M. Benton of Suffolk; ten 
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

  A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Purviance Funeral Home, 
Wakefield, by the Rev. Parker Hooper.  Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery.

  The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7:30 to 
8:30 and requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions 
to the Wakefield Baptist Church.
