Nov. 4 - Mrs. Lelia M. Cowling, 76, died Thursday in a Louisa hospital. She was a native of Sussex County and is survived by two daughters, Mrs. P.A. Brown, of Quantico, and Mrs. E.W. Harlow, of Mineral; two sons, B.E. Cowling, Sr., of Wakefield and H.J. Cowling, of Hampton; one brother, John W. Wooten; three sisters, Mrs. J.B. Kitchen, Mrs. C.J. Whitley and Miss Nan Wooten, all of Wakefield; 18 grandchildren. Funeral rites will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Purviance Funeral Chapel here with burial in Wakefield Cemetery.
