E.W. CARROLL, MOTHER OF LOCAL RESIDENTS, DIES WAKEFIELD - Sept. 25 - (Special) - Mrs. Nannie F. Carroll, 66, died at 7 Wednesday night at her home near here. She had been in ill health several years. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, Friday at the residence. The Rev. R.E. Brittle, Christian minister of near Suffolk, will be in charge. Interment will be in the Wakefield cemetery. Mrs. Carroll was born in Southampton County, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin F. White. Surviving are her husband, Emmett W. Carroll; three daughters - Mrs. D.W. Horton and Mrs. B.B. Cox of Newport News, and Mrs. H.E. Goodrich of Wakefield; three sons - C.N. Carroll of Portsmouth, and R.E. and Edwin W. Carroll of Wakefield; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. C.B. Brittle and Mrs. Belle Joyner, both of Wakefield. Minerva Frances "Nannie" "Mamie" (WHITE; Emmett W.)
