WAKEFIELD - Turner Monroe Drewry Sr., 76, died Sunday in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk, after a short illness. He was a lifelong resident and farmer of Surry County. He was a charter member of Wakefield Ruritan Club and a member of Wakefield United Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bessie Clark Drewry; a son, Turner M. Drewry, Jr.; a brother, Charles W. Drewry; and a granddaughter, all of Wakefield. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, by the Rev. R.L. Consolvo and the Rev. L.P. Bland. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery Purviance Funeral Home is in charge.
