She was born in Southampton County and lived in Surry County for most of her life. She was the oldest member of the Ivor United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Joseph C. Epps Sr. and the daughter of the late Otelia Crumpler and William Thomas Felts. She is survived by one son, Joseph C. Epps, Jr., Wakefield; five daughters, Clarice E. Rollings, Elberon, Elenor E. Cornwell, Ivor, Elizabeth E. Uzzle, Jacksonville, Fla., Nancy E. Bunn, Newsoms, Roselyn E. Moxley, Carrollton; one brother, Thomas Crumpler Felts, Portsmouth; 12 grandchildren, Susan E. Braswell, Joseph C. Epps, III, Jeri Leigh Moxley, Jodi M. Altman, C. Bryant Bunn, Jr., Joseph Blair Bunn, Ted C. Uzzle, Martha Bagley, Cathy C. Floyd, Glenda C. Nemes, Otelia R. Seward, and John C. Rollings; eight great- grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be Saturday, June 4, 1994 at 3:30 p.m. at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, Rev. Charles Rowley. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
