MRS. ELLIS DIES AT WAKEFIELD 

Wife of Dr. S. Burt Ellis, and Sister of J.M. White, Of City, 
   Succumbs Today To Long Illness. 

  Mrs. Mary White Ellis, wife of Dr. S. Burt Ellis, died this morning at 
Wakefield, at 5:30 o'clock, after an illness of some months. 

  Mrs. Ellis is survived by her husband, three brothers and two sisters: J.M. 
White, Suffolk; Dr. John E. White, Secretary and Business Manager, Virginia 
Baptist Hospital, Lynchburg, and Watson B. White, Wakefield; Mrs. S.T. Neblett 
and Mrs. J.E. Richardson, Wakefield. 

  Funeral services wil be held at the home Friday 4:00 p.m.  Interment will be 
at the Wakefield cemetery. 

  Mrs. Ellis was a member of the Wakefield Methodist Church in which she had 
been active for many years.  She leaves many friends at Wakefield and 
elsewhere.
