MRS. STANLEY ELLIS DIES NEAR WAVERLY 

  Mrs. Stanley V. Ellis, 73, died at her home in Waverly, Sunday following 
a stroke of paralysis.  Mrs. Ellis has been in declining health for several 
months.  She is survived by her husband and eight children: Dr. Stanley B. 
Ellis, of Wakefield; Mrs. W.V. West, Nannie Ellis, Mrs. W.S. Williams, A.F. 
Ellis and Stacey V. Ellis, of Waverly; Lieutenant W.I. Ellis, of Fortress 
Monroe, and Kenneth M. Ellis, of Petersburg.  Funeral services were held 
Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, with interments in the Waverly Cemetery.
