Emory Buried Sat., Feb. 14 In Waverly Cemty. Mrs. Nannie Bell Emory, 49, died Thursday morning, February 12 in a Norfolk hospital. A native of Sussex County, she had lived in Surry County most of her life. She was a member of Centerville Christian Church and the daughter of the late John S. and Maggie Jennings Bell. Surviving are her husband, Lawrence H. Emory; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma E. Samuel of Petersburg and Miss Evelyn Marie Emory of Elberon; a son, Lawrence W. Emory of Elberon; a sister; a niece and a nephew. Funeral services were conducted at the Purviance Funeral Home Saturday, February 14, at 2:30 P.M. in Wakefield by the Rev. Frank B. Fitzgerald, pastor of Moore's Swamp Baptist Church. Burial was in the Waverly Cemetery. Nannie May (BELL; Mrs. Lawrence H.)
