Mills Edward Eure, 73, died Saturday, Sept. 2, in his home. Mr. Eure was a native of Surry County and member of Wakefield Baptist Church. He retired from the Air Force as a flight engineer and meteorologist in 1963 after 20 years service. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Edna Faison Eure; two daughters, Linda Marie Sobaskie of St. Paul, Minn., and Donna Jean Stephenson of Richmond; three sisters, Alma E. Drewry of Waverly, Edna E. Barrett and Mary Emma Cox, both of Wakefield; and a brother, Charles Thomas Eure of Wakefield. A funeral was held in Purviance Funeral Home. Burial was in Wakefield Cemetery. Purviance Funeral Home was in charge. ****************************************************************************** Mills Edward Eure WAKEFIELD - Mills Edward Eure, 73, died Saturday. He was the son of the late Junie Edward Eure and Marjorie Elizabeth Warren Eure. Survivors include his wife, Edna Faison Eure of Wakefield; two daughters, Linda Marie Sobaskie of St. Paul, Minn. and Donna Jean Stephenson of Richmond; three sisters, Alma E. Drewry of Waverly, Edna E. Barrett and Mary Emma Cox both of Wakefield; and one brother, Charles Thomas Eure of Wakefield. A funeral was held Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 2 p.m. in the Purviance Funeral Home by the Rev. Parker Hooper. Burial was in the Wakefield Cemetery. Purviance Funeral Home of Wakefield was in charge of the arrangements.
