Cindy loved the summertime and all of the festivities that came with the season. She loved spending time at the river and was the Captain of the "Senior Citizen Cruise". Cindy enjoyed spending time with her parents and the rest of her family, especially her aunt Betty and her family. She was a nurse who worked at several local hospitals including MCV, Sentara Obici and VA Beach General; as well as, Southside Virginia Training Center. Cindy was a Sunday School Teacher at Dendron Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Wallace Eugene Faison, Sr. and Ruby Gwaltney Seward Faison; her siblings Wallace "Wally" E. Faison, Jr. (Linda), Sharon Faison Nowell, and Jeanne Faison Vann (Donald); nephews, Wallace E. "Gene" Faison, III, Robert Edward Faison, William Stephen Faison, Brian Magee Laine, and Donald James Vann, Jr.; nieces, Sarah Anne Faison, Hannah Seward Faison, Bonnie Jeanne Nowell, Caroline Leigh Nowell, and Kimberly Jeanne Vann; great-nephews, Braden Wallace Novak, Cole Faison, Brady Faison, and Hayden Faison; great nieces, Jade Marie Hardin, Kamryn Faison, Maddy Gwaltney, and Heidi Gwaltney; her beloved canine companions, Cotton, Doodlebug, and Polly, as well as numerous cousins and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home from 6 to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Wakefield Cemetery with Rev. Ray Rowland officiating. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Animal Resources of Tidewater, P.O. Box 11535, Norfolk, VA 23517.
