Franklin Faison, 50, died unexpectedly Sunday morning in King’s Daughters’ Hospital where he had been a patient only a couple of days. A graveside service will be held this after in Wakefield, his native home. The body now rest at the Traylor and Purviance Funeral Home in that community. Mr. Faison was born in Wakefield, July 5, 1902, a son of Mr. and Mrs. L.B Faison. He came to Staunton about 24 years ago to accept a position as linotype operator with The Leader Papers. Mr. Faison had been in the printing business all his adult life, and was employed in Pennsylvania before coming to Stauntion. He was The Leader at the time of his death. Mr. Faison attended the First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna Wright Faison of Staunton; mother, Mrs. L.B. Faison of Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. Wallace Peebles of Plainfield, N.J. and Mrs. Sam G. Nugent of Richmond; two brothers, L.B. Faison, Jr. of Wakefield and D. West Faison of Hato Rey, Puerto Rico. Mrs. Faison had gone to Wakefield.
