Feild Gordon Stanley Feild, 76, of Stony Creek died Tuesday, Feb. 27, in Patrick Henry Hospital after a period of declining health. Mr. Field was born in Jarratt but spent most of his life in Stony Creek, where he worked as a pharmacist. He was the son of the late George Spotswood and Susie Whitehorne Feild. He is survied by a son, G. Stanley Feild, Jr. of Ramsey, N.J., and a sister, Mrs. Bessie Brown of Jarratt. Funeral services were held Friday, March 2, in the chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son with the Rev. Robert Consolvo of Portsmouth, former pastor of Fort Grove Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. Hardaway - is posted with Find a Grave Memorial #69951511. D.Cert. 3641 (N.News #160) His father (1836 - 1891) is buried with his first wife in the Slade Greene family cemetery, Stony Creek. His father was a Confederate veteran, having served as an assistant surgeon. After the war he was a pharmacist. His widowed mother (1863 - 1936) 2m. Charles Nicholas LEE.
