He was an employee Wakefield Oil Co. and a member of the Wakefield Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Ar- villa S. Freeman of Wakefield; a son, McAllen Freeman of Richmond; a daughter, Mrs. Donald L. Powers of Wakefield; a niece, Mrs, Wayne Dawson; and four grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 21, at 2:30 at the Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield. Burial will be in the Ivor Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** MELVIN ALLEN FREEMAN WAKEFIELD - A funeral service for Melvin Allen Freeman, 59, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Ed Griffin and Dr. R.E. Brittle. Burial will be in Ivor Cemetery. Freeman died Tuesday afternoon while at work in Sussex County. A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Arvilla Seeley Freeman. He was a member of Wakefield Methodist Church. He worked for Wakefield Oil Co. Besides his widow, survivors include a son, McAllen Freeman of Richmond; and a daughter, Mrs. Donna L. Powers of Wakefield.
