VIRGIE BRITTLE FREEMAN GAY 

  WAKEFIELD - Virginia Brittle Freeman Gay, 93, died Saturday, April 29, in 
Hopewell.

  She was born in Southampton County [sic*] and retired as a practical nurse.

  She was a member of Wakefield Baptist Church.  She was former treasurer 
of the Reese Bible Class and a member of the Missionary Society.

  She is survived by nieces and nephews.

  A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wakefield Baptist Church 
by the Rev. Parker Hooper.  Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery.

  The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:300 tonight at Purviance Funeral 
Home.

  The family request that expressions of sympathy take the form of 
contributions to the Wakefield Baptist Church.
